DOX: Scandinavian Star

As a part of Benjamin’s internship at Nordisk Film in 2020, he joined the sound design team working on Scandinavian Star.

On April 7th, 1990 the ferry “Scandinavian Star” caught fire which killed 159 people. 30 years later Scandinavia’s biggest murder mystery is still unresolved. Everyone knows that the fire was ignited by someone – no one knows who did it. In the biggest Scandinavian documentary series, we get closer to the murder mystery than ever before. 

That’s how Danish Documentary describes this very emotional and touching documentary which launched CPH:DOXs program on February 28th in Imperial, a Nordisk Film cinema.

The series is produced by Danish Documentary and Nordisk Film in collaboration with DR1, NRK and TV4. It consists of six episodes and interviews of more than 100 people, that were close to the disaster.
